Reclaimed Wood Siding - Old Barn Siding - Antique Planking

Reclaimed planking  decking and siding is used in a wide variety of applications which include ceiling decking, interior wall paneling, and exterior siding. Like the timbers, the reclaimed lumber has been air dried over many years and, as a result, is dry and stable. Recycled planking decking and siding can be manufactured with a variety of milling options to suit the application. These options include tongue and groove, shiplap, edging (straightening), thickness planning (gauged thickness), and most other standard milling alternatives. All can be ordered in uniform width or in a mixed/random width for additional character.

Reclaimed planking, decking, and siding is sold in random length and random width unless you specify otherwise. While the specs for a product may include a range of widths and lengths in the description below, you may not receive the entire spectrum of widths and lengths as they are subject to availability. Please advise us of your requirements and any limitations in advance of placing and order so that we can advise on availability.

Following are the various reclaimed planking, decking and siding alternatives we offer arranged by species and the various appearances available.

AS IS DOUGLAS FIR

AS IS DOUGLAS FIR - Recycled DF planking and decking is available in the condition it was received with the visible hardware removed and end damage trimmed. It is most commonly used in 1x and 2x thicknesses. All milling options are available with reclaimed planking. The 1" board stock is usually created by cutting 2" stock in half, leaving one original side and one freshly sawn side with a slight variation in width and thickness. This can be milled further to uniform width and thickness if necessary.

SAWN DOUGLAS FIR - With the horizontal bandsaw, we can produce a fresh sawn face on both sides of the planking. This will leave a limited amount of character marks from the nail holes, but generally it will look similar to fresh sawn fir with a band sawn finish. The material is typically the same net dimension in thickness and width. This material can also then be surface sanded or run to any of the common milling pattern such as tongue and groove.
