farmhouse reclaimed wood kitchen

A complete knockdown of an original 1000 square foot beach home and rebuild of a new 2076 square foot custom home made the possibilities endless for this gorgeous coastal farmhouse in Encinitas. With the help of the super talented Jeff and team at Halcyon Trade Building, owner Mark Sheddon was able to outfit his dream home with a wide variety of our products. During each visit to our facility and showroom in Temecula he found a new use for reclaimed wood in his project. Starting with an order of several hand hewn Douglas fir beams and ground sanded Douglas fir beams to go in the living room and kitchen and some driftwood planking for an accent wall, Mark soon decided he loved the look of a limited batch of Australian Tasmanian oak strip flooring.  After seeing the unrivaled density and quality of our reclaimed old-growth vertical grain redwood, an order was placed for the front porch decking. The outdoor tool shed siding, hand hewn barn timber pergola, and white oak kitchen island top followed quickly thereafter and helped to make this one of a kind farmhouse full of character and truly unique. The result is simply gorgeous and was rightfully featured in Coastal San Diego Homes & Estates magazine.
