Reclaimed Australian Hardwoods

We’re excited to announce the arrival of some amazing reclaimed hardwood from Australia! We currently have several incredibly dense and beautiful species ranging from light tan colored to dark red and all unbelievably dense. This unique material can be supplied “as is” with the original patina and character marks, milled into rustic board or furniture stock, or milled smooth into exquisite flooring and fine furniture or countertop components. Reclaimed from wharfs, bridges, and factories, this material has some incredible character that you won’t find anywhere else nearby.

Reclaimed Blackbutt

This beautiful, light colored hardwood is a common and dominant tree in Southeastern Australia and is one of Australia’s most economically important wood species. Its density and insect resistance make it an ideal choice for decking, furniture, wall cladding, and hardwood flooring. It typically has fairly straight grain with small gum veins.

Reclaimed “Tassie Oak” or Tasmanian Oak Flooring

We have a limited stock of Tassie Oak flooring reclaimed from factory floors. This wonderful, light-colored hardwood is a common choice in Australia for flooring and is chosen for its durability and uniform grain structure. Milled almost exclusively with a vertical grain orientation, this flooring has been re-profiled with a fresh tongue and groove to facilitate installation. We currently have two separate batches measuring 11/16” thick x 2 ¼” or 2 3/8” wide. We can supply this beautiful flooring “as is” to be sanded on site after installation or we can hand sand it for an additional charge. Its original wear marks and character make this product a great choice for those looking for a floor that looks like it has been installed for decades. Pictured is our sample board shown hand sanded with a clear urethane finish.
